Thanks all!

I am not very very happy with the RWHP though. I wanted to see 600 rwhp! Well, when i have the bottle full, I will dyno again and see. My fuel seems to be good (stock). I will try a 150 shot later and see if the stock fuel can handle it.

Reckless, it should not be a spike because itis climbing but I get a sudden smooth drop. I will post it up when I get it and you tell me! I did spin the dyno when the shot comes on!

383LQ4SS, it was a NX MAF kit with a 100 wet shot. I was running rich a bit too 11.6

This brings up some interesting questions.

Many say that a reverse split cam like yours is not optimal for nitrous and you gain a lot more torque with a standard split.

You gained 300rwtq off of a 100 shot with a reverse split cam. Was that huge gain due mostly to the fact you have a 382 or is the theory that reverse splits aren't good for n2o a bit flawed here.

From personal experience it seems that cars with standard splits gain more torque than reverse splits with n2o.

That low of bottle pressure killed your HP. Look for 50 more with 1000psi. TQ is so high bc that's what NOS does; adds loads of low-end TQ.

verbs,

Sorry, I did not get that!

So, you are saying that I could get more rwtq or rwhp with a standard splits? If so, i might do it
I was thinking of putting a different cam in there for more power N/A.

"The bottle pressure was only at 600 when cold. I did heat it up but only got 950 out of it! As soon as I finished my first run the bottle pressure went down 550-600 again! I am assuming if I had a full bottle, I will have more power!"

If my bottle starts out cold I've always had luck with doing one first initial heat up, then let the bottle cool a little, then heat it up again and use it. This way the whole bottle surface is retaining the heat, not just where your warmer is. A bottle blanket helps too.

However!!! Reverse splits are the way to make the most power N/A IMO, and for a smaller 100shot like you use, switching cams may not make a huge difference.

verbs,

But you’re forgetting something! I had a low pressure bottle when I dynoed!! Well, I MAY pick up some more power (hopping it will). If I did not make anymore power, I will supercharge or turbocharge my SS!

I only sprayed a 100 shot. My A/F was 11.6 which show that the stock fuel system may handle a bit more! If all goes well with a full bottle, I will spray 150 shot!

B18B1LS1,

Thanks for the tip! I may have to buy a bottle blanket!

I was not prepared to go to the dyno at the time! I just got a very good deal for an hour charge that I could not refuse!! Next time I will be prepared. I will have a full bottle and i will start to warm it up before I go to the dyno!

Default New Dyno with a 382 and 100 Shot!

Well, I went to the dyno and started to tune a bit. The bottle pressure was only at 600 when cold. I did heat it up but only got 950 out of it! As soon as I finished my first run the bottle pressure went down 550-600 again! I am assuming if I had a full bottle, I will have more power!

I have the NX MAF kit.

445 rwhp 448 RWTQ (NA)
537 rwhp 747 rwtq (on the bottle)

It hits that #s at around 3500-4000 rpm but drops hard to 512 rwhp and 666 rwtq and strays at that all the way from 4200 to 6000 rpm.

I think my bottle pressure is affecting the result because it drop hard and when I recheck the bottle pressure, it was at 550.

My A/F where at 11.6

So what do you guys think?

All the mods are in my sig. I will post the graphs soon!

Very impressive, but that torque number must be a torque spike?

Very nice though!

What size shot was that on? Dry or wet? Your setup may be similiar to mine. you made a bit more NA than me though. I think with full bottle pressure you will see a huge increase. Should be close to 600 rwhp. Sweet!

The high TQ is sounding like a spike. At the lower RPM, the TQ is greater than the higher and since you said it clombs a little then drops off, makes me think more so. Not bad at all for the conditions though, get a full bottle, warmed, and hit it again. Good-luck.

Hi RUF SS, looking good there. I think you're amongst the first I've seen to post their MAF kit resouls. Are you running a stage 1 MAF kit right now??

I was pondering running the MAF kit as a stage two with both stages hitting at the same time. The thought was that to split the same shot across two jets would get a finer mix with better performance and less likelyhood for puddling as the shots went bigger. Say two 75s rather than one 150 shot.

Has anyone played around with this idea and the MAF kit yet?

CAT3, I do not know if it was a spike! The HP and TQ went down smooth but very fast! I will try to dyno again Monday with a full bottle and see!

2001-WS6, You have a very good idea there! I have a stage one MAF kit, I will dyno again and see how it goes! I may also, try to spry a 150 shot

Which fuel pump system are you running? Great numbers!
