Should I replace my head gaskets for a 125 shot?
I just got my NOS 5177 kit and all of the safety stuff etc., and a friend of mine who has a 460 Cobra Jet said that I should really consider getting locking head gaskets. Another friend of mine had a 100 shot on his 99 GT Mustang and he fried his head gaskets. Are stock head gaskets fine for a 125 shot?, should I get knew ones?, or is this just a Ford thing?

No you dont have to worry about head gaskets.
the only way youll fry a head gasket is if the car isnt tuned/setup correctly. So you want it to blow if something goes wrong, itll keep you from losing a piston

I ran a 125 shot for a year, and now I run eight pounds of supercharger boost. Never a problem.
I wouldn't touch the head gaskets if it were me. My policy is to replace parts WHEN they break, not before. Otherwise you don't know if you would have broken it or not
