Got walked, ready to bottle feed ASAP, need help.
OK, I just got wasted by a early 90s LX 5.0 that was most likely on the juice as it was blowing grey smoke all over the place. This was my first loss in the 02 and now Im ready to get it on. Ive decided to start with a simple nitrous setup that I can install. What are your opinions on a brand/product that would be friendly to a stock LS1 with the usual bolt ons. Something in the 75-100hp range. What about accessories? I will definitely invest in the MSD window switch. Thanks for helping a fellow LS1 from getting walked again by a Ford.
100 shot with the bolt on's and in my m6, i was trapping 122. a4, you would probably see 115-117 mph depending.
you need a window switch, fuel pressure safty switch, bottle heater (nx), and a good wet kit (tnt or nx, i have had both and had good luck with them both). might want ton invest in a fuel pressure gauge too, just to be safe.
it sucks to get walked, i know. thats what made me want a f-body. i got walked in my 11 sec gn by a nitrous f-body....wasnt fun.

Thanks Evil for the ideas. You suggest the wet kit? Ive heard they hit hard, but Im wanting to preserve as much of my warranty as possible (2 more years) and not trash the rear or tranny. I cant even bear the thought of the dealership putting in a new clutch. One other question. Which of the board sponsors carry the NX wet kits for the LS1? What about these Venom kits I here so much about?
i ran the 100 wet on the stock clutch for a while, and it worked good. the dry kit is good too, but i like the fact that the wet adds fuel so if anything you will be rich rather than lean.
my car ran richer on the 100 shot then it did on motor, so thats a good thing. stay away from the 150 until you get a fuel pump and some edit tuning on it.

I did a lot of research before buying my kit and I decided to go with a nos dry kit because I felt more comfortable going that route. I have only heard good things about the nx kit as well though. It was really about what made me feel safer, and I did not like the idea of unequal distribution, and fuel puddling, however I know a lot of people are very happy with wet kits. I would not trust my car with a venom kit...I read somewhere that those kits have been in testing for years trying to work the bugs out. I would rather go with something that's a proven winner as opposed to playing the guinea pig. For 250-500 bucks you can put a progressive controller on any kit and do what the venom kit does.
