I was going to sell a nos remote bottle opener since I am going to buy a cam and wanted to test it and see if it works for sure before selling. Anyway, it is brand new, but I still want to make sure before I sell it. Can anyone tell me how I can hook it up to maybe my battery and see if the solenoid moves.
It has a red, black, and white wire. What do I need to do to test this baby out? I called NOS tech, but they were dicks and said that I couldn't test it out without any pressure, but that doesn't make any sense to me since you can test your nitrous solenoids without have nitrous flowing through them
Any please help me as soon as you can!!!!

I havent looked at the design of the NOS bottle opener. But...I imagine its not the same as a typical solinoid. A typical solinoid is spring loaded shut and held open with the magnetic coil when power is applied. If the NOS bottle opener were that design it would probably overheat if you kept it open for too long. So I Imagine the NOS opener is a kind of shuttle valve. Many times a shuttle valve of that type will be electrically operated but pnuematically actuated. So you may have to have pressure for it to open and close. But I really dont know for sure. Maybe someone else will chime in???
Why not do what the NOS tech sais and hook it up to a nitrous bottle and then operate it. Just cap the end of the line. I imagine the black wire would be ground the red could be (12v) open and white could be closed. Or Vice versa on the red/white. I also think the switch to operate that device is a momentary on. So just touch the wires for a second or so.
Any one actually have one out there?
