Nitrous kit questions with blown motor
Nitrous kit questions with blown motor I bought an 02 TA nhra vert and this kit was on it, I know nothing as far as nitrous goes. I plan on taking the car back to stock. IDK if this is wet/dry, or how big of a shot. Not sure if you can even tell those things by looking at it.
Also they took it to a shop and said the 7th cylinder was cracked. The seller didn't seem to know to much further than what the shop said so it could be less or more. Can I confirm this without ripping it apart. Maybe drain the oil see if there any pieces of metal?

It looks like an OLD dry kit from BACK in the day. I had one of those on my first F-body like back in 2007. LOL!!!
The easiest way to tell if it is a wet kit is to look and see if there is a line from the schrader valve at the front of the passenger side fuel rail. I don't think these particular kits came in a "wet" version.... IIRC.
As far as #7 being "cracked" did he say if it was a cylinder sleeve, the head, piston or anything? "cracked" could be a lot of things.

I can see kit being old as I got it off the original owner. Engine bay is ruff idk why lol. The rest of the car is in pretty nice shape has 45k on it.

That is indeed a NOS 5177 dry kit. The solenoid located with main line coming in it is a purge that looks like the system is purging through the radiator as that small brass line is going behind the radiator. The two solenoids below the lid are installed correctly.
