Default Question about Timing and Nitrous..

My compression is around 10.7:1 to 10.8:1.. I have 63cc chambers on 5.7L heads with 2cc valve reliefs.. Anyway, my timing is 28 degrees right now with no detonation with my huge cam.. I am going to be spraying soon.. I want to spray a 75 shot and maybe one day spray up to 150 shot. I am ordering the timing tricker this week. I have a Walbro 340 intank.. I am thinking of bumping up my timing NA below 4k rpm and having it retard on shots over 100hp.. My question is how much to retard? Also, if I use race gas when I spray do I need to retard as much? It's a NX wet kit..

For a 100 shot I would run about 24-25* timing on 93 octane.

Rule of thumb has always been 2 degrees/50hp... so a 100HP shot would be 4 degrees retarded.

Stock or the max you can get away with NA? In my experience that rule works as a good starting point assuming you subtract from the max timing you can get away with NA.

My current timing is 28 degrees.. It seems if I want to go up to a 150 shot eventually I would have to retard 6 degrees.. I was assuming that since I have a cam that bleeds off compression higher than normal I would have to retard less..
