Before/ After MAFS?
I am going to buy a NOS setup from my buddy. It is off of his 70 camaro. Although it isn't the exact same setup I know it wouldn't be hard to make it compatible with my car (1995 LT-1 Trans Am). I'm only running a 70 peel. My question is should I run the peel before or after the Mas Air Flow Sensor? What really makes a difference between doing one or the other? I heard if you run it before the MAFS it throws of trouble codes or makes your check engine light come on. That is harmless? Right? Give me some insight in how I should go about doing this.
It breaks down like this:
Dry Kit: identified by one solenoid for nitrous, THERE IS NO fuel solenoid. Routes before the MAF, and relies on the MAF to read the incoming air charge to add fuel.
Wet Kit: has a solenoid for nitrous, and a solenoid for fuel. Nitorus is usually blue, and fuel red. gets plummed in betwen the MAF and the TB. use different PILLS (not peels) to adjust the amount of fuel and or nitrous. Hope this helps. Good-luck. Charlie.
