Default Newbie Questions

Hey,
I have a couple of Nitrous questons.

1. I'm considering running Nitrous for just a little extra ya know. (100-125 shot) I want to know if it's safe on a stock bottom end car. It's gonna be a H/C car but every now and then the bottle might be needed.

Mainly I don't won't to ruin my engine... I owe too much on this car to tear it up... I know "don't play if you can't pay" but is nitrous really that dangerous??? If so I'll stay clear.
