I picked up a spare NANO bottle this winter. Appeared to be in nice condition upon arrival. I went yesterday to fill my primary bottle as well as the spare. No issues with the bottle I purchased new and use all the time but when I went to fill the spare it leaked air. Leak appeared to come from the seam just below the two set screws. I took the set screws out and unscrewed the top just above where the leak came from. Here is what I found inside:
It appears that there is a o-ring on both the top and the bottom. Possible that this is where the leak is coming from? I sent Tom an email at NANO with this picture and hope to hear back from him next week. Just curious if anyone else has had this issue.
I had that problem too, so I sent my nano back for them to repair it.
Tom Jr? mentioned there's a little ball that gets worn, so he replaced it. I think it was on the top of the gold piece from your picture. He sent my old one back as well.
Also, if you don't want the nano to raise your nitrous psi to 1050 (gets higher on hot days) take out one washer each for 50 psi increment, or something like that.
I gave them a call several weeks ago and talked with Tom Sr? It seems like they're back up and running.
Thanks. I did call today and spoke with Tom Sr. who gave me an email address and asked that I send a picture of what I had. He sounded busy. I've only called them one other time when I had to order something for the spare bottle that I bought (IIRC a check valve). I tried to google them today to call and couldn't find the number; had to call Jeg's who told me they weren't even sure if they were still in business. What's going on with them? He's been VERY nice to me both times that I've called but it always sounds a little "confused" there. ??? IIRC the first time I called Tom Sr. was having health issues. I hope all is well with him now.
