Default Nitrous Virgin, Need help

I am 100% new to nitrous, so be gentle. I have read all the FAQ, but still am not clear.

Is the MAF the only way the ECM knows that nitrous is being activated on a dry shot? I feel like I'm missing something here, Doesn't the ECM only use the MAF's reading up to 4k rpm? Does changes need to be made to the PE to keep from having a lean condition after 4k? I guess the tuning side of this is what i'm confused on. Again please be gentle.

YOu are thinking correctly. To be honest with you I personally do not like running a dry kit with the factory PCM and relying on the mass air meter to add the fueling. All it takes is nozzle movement to cause a world of issues. Thats why we have the Halo systems. Atleast the saturate the air intake charge.

If using a factory PCM with a dry kit I would use EFI live and use the custom operating system to add the fuel.

Or in my opinion with a factory PCM wet is the way to go.
