Default 75 shot on H/C/I WS6

just bought a WS6 had plans for trick flow GenX heads fast 92 intake 3.73's and MS4 cam from texas speed with supporting mods. would running a kit with 75 hp jet hurt the motor at all? if not what kit should be recommended on these LS1's?

If it's tuned for it along with the proper accessories it will be fine

This is correct. And just for reference a 75hp shot is a fairly small amount of nitrous, so I wouldn't be too worried about it if it was my car. I would put an RPM window switch and a bottle heater on it for both safety and performance. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask.

I would check and see what plugs are in there, and also you will want to probably pull timing 2* per 50hp for your setup. You can do this in HP tuners and change tunes back and forth, or you can pick up one of these and pull timing on the fly only when the nitrous system is armed.

Here is the links to those other accessories I was talking about.

Also, we have sprayed 200hp on a completely stock LS1. With your mods, I would be comfortable adding 100-125hp and it would be still very safe in my opinion.

Thanks,
Garrett

If you have enough injector & fuel pump to support it you could just fog the airbox (dry in front of the MAF). A competent tuner can make this work really well and will save you a bunch of money.

Dry kits can be put together for next to nothing and no need to buy a timing retard device as your PCM (properly tuned) will pull the timing and add correct fuel upon activation.

Hi Garrett,
Great information and i do not mean to steal this thread but, would you still feel comfortable doing a 100 shot on a H/C/I with flycut pistons? Have you experienced anyone running nitrous with flycut pistons and if so, what size shot?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks,
Garrett

There should be no issues on those pistons with a 100 shot if its all setup right

Never actually dyno'ed the car. It was an A4, good for 6.9x 1/8th mile in a C5 Vette.

Thanks,
Garrett

I would would think on 100 shot it would be just fine. If you were spraying alot more nitrous I would be more concerned.

Thanks,
Garrett
