Default Edit and 120 Shot help

I posted this in PCM but apparently no one over there uses the juice or they dont want to help me out.

I need to find out how to retard the timing for the spray. Do I just go into the high and low octane tables and do a universal -2° retard from 3000rpm (window switch start point) all the way to the rev limiter? Is that it?

Also with the rev limiter and idle.

Do I need to change the rev limiter in all the different categories or just the first? Do I need to change it in the Rev/temp section and the rev/gear section too?

Thanks
Mike

Rule of thumb is -2 degrees for every 50 hp shot. For 120 shot try -4 degrees, log it and make sure you are ok on KR and WOT runs. I had some problems getting my timing down - it would always drop to the lower octane table - so I made my Lower and Upper tables the same (except the lower octane -1 on everything). I changed my tables from .52gms and up and 3200 rpms to my redline (6800).

Idle - I changed the entire table to read 1000 cold and warming up 950 - all four categories.

Rev limiter - I changed both by gear and temp tables to 6800-6799 to include the "front" boxes.

Hope this helps

David
