Default LNC2000 not hitting desired RPM

Got a friend bringing his car over this week to look at his new box. He had a local shop do the work and now that their is an issue with it not working correctly, guy won't respond to him. The 2 step isn't adjusting to the desired RPM. Will stay at 3k even when dialed down to 1500. Anyone had this problem or have any suggestions for a quick fix?

Did the make the adjustments with the vehicle powered up? Did they shut off the engine between tests? Changes to the settings are only read by the LNC software on initial power up.

Could also be between dial settings and then the LNC could get confused (make sure the rotary dials are set in actual notch type positions and not between settings).

The car had a laundry list of stuff wrong with it. I started on it Saturday and got the majority of it done. I'm going to look into it more tonight.

Did you ever figure out the main concern ? mine has been 2stepping 500 or more rpm since installed. i can not get it to 2step at anything over 3300 rpm
