Default New to NOS!

Hello guys,

I'm new here, looks like a nice forum to get some knowledge.
Anyway, I've been reading a lot about nos.
I want to try it on small 2 and 4 stroke 30-150 cc engines.
I understand dry and wet systems pro and cons.

What ain't clear to me:
1. can you inject nos before the carb/throttle body?
2. Is this kind of nos is different from the full size bottles? http://www.boostinductionsystems.com...g_home_046.htm
http://www.boostinductionsystems.com...g_home_047.htm
3. At the attached link you can see they inject the nos to the air filter, does it require different tuning ? richer settings?

Thanks.
Roei

Those are whippets? If so, yeah that is the same nitrous oxide we use, just most of ours has sulfur added to it to prevent abuse so to speak. The trick will be monitoring the nitrous that is being taken in so you add power without going lean and blowing the motor. I think you will go a long way in a carbed setup if you fab a throttle plate to go between the carb and intake manifold for the nitrous.
Also get a gauge and monitor dispenser pressure so you can see what results you get at what psi. Also you need to keep your goals low, such as a 50cc engine only gaining about 20-30% more power using nitrous in such a basic way.

Their is a little more to it than unabashedly throwing it down the carb in a cloud, lol

For an RC car application that should be ok to use but anything over an RC car application I'd go a different route. When using a dry kit you will need to adjust the fuel to compensate for the nitrous use.
