Default Explosion

If I have a properly filled bottle of nitrous how hot does it have to be in my car for the bottle to explode. I know the whole bottle doesn't explode, but the saftey explode and nitrous come out.
I live in the desert and am very concerned about this.

Heat causes pressure to rise...once the bottle reaches a certain pressure(3000psi), the burst disk lets go to protect the actual bottle from rupturing.

If you're in a hot environment, you don't want to leave your bottle in the heat any longer than you have to. I would recommend getting a blow-down tube and NHRA valve to vent to the outside just in case the burst disc lets go while you are in the car.

I also live in desert area, in my garage with reaching 95-100 the bottle psi gets to 1200-1500psi. In a car with 100+ degrees it will get to 3000 with a quickness. Best to only have bottle in the car right before using it, don't just drive around with it in a car. Had a friend that had his bottles on ice got the pressure down to 600psi before putting them in his car, by the time he made short drove to the track the psi was 1200psi
