Nitrous Blew Intake To Shreds.... I have a 2000 corvette and ran 150 shot of nitrous nx wet kit. ran my run and turned the pumps off and was going threw the pits and Ka boom a big flash under the hood and I popped the hood and the intake was shreaded and the air box was like frozen I was told the pump stuck open and back fired does this happen alot. I did get a good pass though 11.31 @122mph on a stock car execpt 4:10 gears and borla catback,k&n filter, I rand et streets 1.65 60ft.

do you mean solinoids and not pumps? if so then yes, they can get stuck open and cause a back fire but it is rare. you better check your system out for trash. usually when a soliniod stops working, it will stay closed. the main reason for an open noid is trash.
this is a new kit and I dont have a filter on it. how do I fix it do I have to take it apart or is it ok now would it be safe to try it again I am putting a ls6 intake on it now.. maybe I should get a filter for it...

All NX systems have filters on in the solenoid. Take a look behind the inlet fitting. If you see trash clean it. The noid needs to taken apart and clean out. I would send it back to NX for them to clean and pressure check. Another thing to look at is the electrical side of things. Did the mirco switch release,(or was it in a bind or stuck). After you get things back to together test it yourself. Take the air intake off the throttle body and blow some nitrous a few times to make sure the everything is ok.. One final thing is to blow the nitrous out before installing back onto a clean noid.

Well ive had 3 blown up intakes between customers and myself. Everytime they blew the rear out of the intake and took out the air box etc...
You had a fuel solenoid stick open i would guess, nitrous outside the cylinder isnt really combustable
