Can you just leave the bottle open?

I know the answer is no, or there wouldn't be such a market for bottle openers. However, could I just open the bottle before I get in and close it after I get out incase I find that Viper around?

Yes, You can open it, drive around all night and then close it...
Just watch your guage and make sure it doesn't get too high or low for that matter

and GOOD LUCK with that viper...!

If I'm in and out of the car all day I will leave it open all the time. I just close it when I park the car for the night or if I'm at work. As long as your system doesn't have any leaks you'll be just fine.
