ok, i figured out how to use this ingenius device...i only have 1 question......when i set my base and wot advance settings(say its +3* base and +3* wot=+6* all toegether)will my retard for spraying be that number plus the amount of retard i want? so say i want -3* of retard..ill set for -9*?so itll take out the amount of advance i put in and retard it 3*? any help would be appreciated...TIA.

 

I'm only using my timing tuner for Nitrous retard, window switch & nitrous delay. But it is my understanding that those are your base adjustments and you have to pull timing to compensate. Since I don't use the <3k Rpm & >3K Rpm advance & retard settings it doesn't affect me.

But I think that you have to compensate for what you dial in on your base timing. If you are running +3 base & want to pull 4deg compared to a stock tune you would actually have to dial in -7 deg of timing on the spray. That's the way that I understand it. But your best bet is to call Ramchargers and get the really right answer from them.

Man I wish that there were this many Timing Tuner threads going on when I was in the market for one.

 

yeah tell me about it.i reread the instructions and yes that is what u do...u have 2 compensate for wut u advance.+3 base and +3 wot = +6 and wutever u want 2 retard.
