Default NXL kit and 3°KR

I went to the track friday to make a few passes. I retarded the timing 3° in the 3600 to 6400 rpm range where I have the window switch set. First nitrous pass I ran a 11.4 at 122mph, ok pass but that was only .56 seconds faster than my NA runs earlier(seemed low for a 120 shot). I autotapped the run and when I got back to the pits I saw that my coolant temps were around 235°ish!!! Turns out my fan decided to have some wiring issues so it wasnt working and during staging etc the temps went up pretty high.

Now my question. The car ran ok and I was very low on nitrous so I dont think I sprayed the full 120 shot but I was getting 3-4° of knock retard during the pass. The car seemed to be ok because later in the night I was out of nitrous so I did a NA run and ran my best NA run at an 11.8.

Would the 235+° cause the knock to occur to 3-4° of retard? How much would that effect my ET?

What should I expect running the 120 shot considering I am running 11.82 @115 without the spray.

I think the extra temp may have contributed to the detonation.

Was this a wet shot or dry?

The NXL kit is a DP kit so technically it is a wet kit.

Anyone else?

Have you been to the dyno and checked your hp gain and A/F ratio? If not do so. I only picked up 75 rwhp from the 120 jets and I had to up the fuel pill to keep from running lean. The NX recommended jets may not work for your set-up. Get it checked out. Others have had similar issues with this kit. I am still experimenting with pill sizes.
