Default replace rearend even with just a 100 dry shot?

Lets say i never go above 100hp dry shot, and only use nitrous once in a while, like less then once a month, would my stock rearend still blow on me? i only have 30,000 miles on my car.

If your running street tires I wouldnt worry about it. If you start using slicks...you may want to consider it. If money is no object...go for it regardless. A nice 12 bolt gives great piece of mind.

I ran my stock rear all tha way to 10.3 at 135 mph with 1.55 sixty foots. But that is the exception and not the norm. And I wouldnt recomend trying that.

Even on nittos I wouldnt worry too much. But again...if you have the funds...a 12 bolt is always a nice thing to have. It allows you to throw on a set of ET streets and head to the track if you want to have some real fun.

You don't replace your rearend becasue of nitrous, you replace it because it broke.

I keep an extra set of 3.73's hanging around, very cheap insurance. The way I figure it is that if I blow my stock gears, I can have the 3.73's in the car in less than a day, then I'll order the 8.8", 9" or 12 bolt.I'm still undecided on what my next rear is gonna be. But with the big shot and the spec it's coming

I broke the stock 10 bolt the first time I went to the track with the stock F1's. They fixed it under warranty. I went back with Drag radials and broke it again. They fixed it again and told me next time it wouldnt be covered. This was before any real mods. I finally got a 12 bolt. The question with the stock 10 bolt is not if your going to break, its when.
