I got a nx bottle heater used. In the box is 2 relays. They both look the same however when I compare the wire colors on the relay with the wire colors in the instructions in the nx installation instructions they aren't close. The instructions say I should have a red, black, green and white wire. I have a orange, red, blue and green wire. Here are a couple of blurry pictures of the relay. http://community.webshots.com/script...ecurity=UNuwTL, http://community.webshots.com/script...ecurity=kTayDb. Looking at the first photo, the numbers on the 3 legs on the right are 87a, 87, 86 and the two on the left are 30 and 85. 30 on top, 85 on bottom, 86 is directly accross from the 85 and the 87a is accross from the 30. The 87 stands in the middle by itself. Is this the correct relay. Basically, I have no clue what I'm looking at with these numbers. Looking at the relay from the front and bottom, the red wire that goes to the switch (I think) is on the left, the orange wire (I think this is the hot wire) is in the back, the blue wire which hooks to the bottle blanket (I think( is in the front, and a green wire which I think is ground is on the right. IS this right or how should it go.
Heres how the NX relay works. I dont know why you have a differant color wiring harness. Is the kit used?
pole 30= all time hot (battery)
pole 85= negative
pole=86= keyed hot
pole=87=hot on to accy
NX wiring is a little differant than other companies but this is per theyre instructions.
