Default Anyone run tr8 all time time.

The reason i ask is because im going to the track for the first time this coming weekend on the bottle.I would like to put the plugs in at home and make some n/a runs but i don't want to foul out plugs. Are tr8 pretty forgiving or do they load up easy. I'm running a dp system with some 22/24 pills in it i don't know how big of a shot that is but i want to safe on the plugs. This is just a starting point for me and ill step it up as long as everything is ok.

I drive around on 9's all the time...if that helps...I dont think they are called TR8s though. I think they are just NGK 8's. They are in a different category then the Tr55's and 6's.

It also helps if the car has a decent drive tune in it. Ive got mine set at 14.9-15:1 A/F at cruise. It rarely gets to build up any carbon. My right foot is heavy. :yup:

I have the "8"'s in my car all the time. They definitely hurt N/A performance and they do load up under normal street driving. I pulled them out last week. They had about 10 passes on them and about 20 miles of street driving. They were very dark and fouled looking.

Mine are gapped at .028...Im curious as to why some peeps say they hurt NA performance. They allow me to get more agressive on my NA tune and it made more power than when i ran my tr6's for NA only. I picked up 40rwhp by changing to a super cold plug and new wires with a more aggressive tune. I do change them often and my driveability tune is fairly decent. It stays around 15:1 when im just cruising. I do need to change them though. Theyve got some time on them here lately.
