How much timing are you taking out ?

Default How much timing are you taking out ?

Im going for the first time this year on the bottle.I have a DP setup and i'm running about a 200 shot maybe a little less.How much timing should i pull out.I Have edit so it's not a problem and if you know were you start taking timing out on the chart in the load catorgy. Thanks for any input. mike

I've always heard the general rule of thumb on a cammed car is to run 28 degrees on a 100 shot and you are fine. Another rule of thumb is to pull 2 degrees for every 50hp over 50. That would put you at 24 degrees of timing. You will probably lose about 8-15 rwhp on motor but who cares. Hoped I helped a little.

i'm running 28* on my cam only car, 22* on a 150 wet shot.i'd say run 20-22 degrees at 12.o afr.

I run 18 degrees timing on a 300 shot with 112 octane fuel at about 11.6:1 afr
