nitrous newbie
nitrous newbie ok im quite new to the whole nitrous thing. i just sent nitro dave a pm. but i wanted to get some info from you guys. im looking to get a 150 shot and was wondering what plugs do u run in your car and what else should i look into as far as other mods to support the nitrous setup? injectors? plugs?maf? anything will help. thanks alot!

Plugs are NGK TR-6. If you're looking at a wet kit, then your stock injectors will be fine, along with your MAF. You may want to consider a new fuel pump. Walbro 255lph or better. More safety stuff to consider is a window switch to go with the wide open throttle switch (usually insluced in the NX kit). The window switch only allows the nitrous to spray in between certain RPMs, for example it will start spraying at 3000rpms and quit at 6000 (or whatever you want to start and stop it). Other extras would be a bottle heater, N2O and fuel pressure gauges, and a nitrous tune for your PCM.
I spray a 150 shot out of the NX MAF Kit. fuel pressure saftey switch is a must. I also highly recommend the window switch. Msd makes a new digital switch for less than 100.00. I have one and love it. there are some other options like one with a 1st gear lock out that never sprays first gear. I think it is a good option to have(keeps 10 bolt alive) also gap your tr6's to .038 more spray the smaller the gap. Other things like are cool but not nessary are bottle opener, and heater. The nx units have had great reviews through out ls1tech. I have them and they work good. There is something about on demand no2 at a flip of the switch, I have a template for the ash tray panel pm me if needed. I also mounted my bottle in tire well I tried to post them but the pics are to big(file size.)pm me and a can email them to you. Also if you skip the 1st lock out unit set your tps to a small delay to get you through first gear before activation. I know that you never want to spray below 3000rpm = fuel puddling = blown intake= strait off motor good luck when its done it is so sick!!!!!!!!
