Default DP 300shot

What do you guys think of a DP 300 shot wet with these parts:

FAST intake and 78mm TB
JE pistons/pins/rings
Lunati Pro Mod rods
Stock Crank
AFR 205 heads
MLS gaskets
ARP head/main studs
ARP2000 rod bolts
Hot Cam
1 3/4 Kooks headers
Racetronix in tank pump
Aeromotive rails
37lb Racetronix injectors

OR

FAST intake and 78mm TB
Complete Lunati 382 reciprocating assembly
AFR 205 heads
MLS gaskets
ARP head/main studs
ARP2000 rod bolts
Hot Cam
1 3/4-1 7/8 Kooks headers
Racetronix in tank pump
Aeromotive rails
37lb Racetronix injectors

2000 6spd T/A w/ full suspension front and rear (set for road racing/street use)
Moser 12bolt limited slip
16in wheel w/ET street
Timing Tuner
Stock trans
Spec 3I clutch w/billet AL flywheel
Stock driveshaft

How much timing would you pull from the stock tune for this?
Should this be progressive or is throwing it straight at the motor Ok?

MOST racing would be from a roll
Spray would start in second gear if from a dig

So far this guy is insistting on this HotCam. I'm still trying totalk him out of it.

thanks

If you have to ask, i suggest that your not ready to be using it....Start off at a level your comfortable and knowledgeable about and work your way up to when you get a little more familar with what you need to run a 300 shot.

Have a reputible tuner do the tuning on the car. A 300 shot nitrous motor is something that only a professional should tune.
Unless your running slicks, use a progressive controller.

id just get a wideband and scan the car on a lower shot and progressively work up. To be safe take a about 8 deg out and work your way up.

What I am mostly looking for with the question I asked was whether or not the parts combination would reliably hold up to the 300 shot.

I would hope that anyone that has used N2O would not be silly enough to go straight to a 300 shot and hope things work.

This car would be tuned by me and the shot would be worked from around a 150 up to the 300 range. Just as I did with my car starting at 75 and working my way up to the 150.

You shouldn't have a problem with the parts. I'd watch your ring gaps and tolerances closely though. Your driveshaft and limited slip rear end will **** on you eventually. Ditch the hotcam and get a cam that is more suitable for nitrous. If you are going to build a serious combo you should definitely get a cam more appropriate for it, otherwise you'll just be killing yourself over it.

As far as progressive vs straight up, you'll have to try that out. Just depends on how well your car likes it.
