Default nitrous converter and a 2:73 gear question

should I change out my gear for a 3:42 and go with a lower str converter or leave the gear in and get a higher STR?

I will have drag radials and go with a 125 or 150 shot and a rear change is going to be around 5 to $600 should I spend my money else where ?

the car is all stock now just planning on fl headers, catback , stall, suspension
150 shot and drag radials and I am looking for low 11's , is that asking too much? I have more money to do a more mods but I want to do it with as little as I can

and the car is an 01 also

Which converter should I get for the 2.73 and how much am I leaving on the table by leaving in the stock gears , 1 tenth 3 tenths??

I wouldn't spend a dime on the stock rear, just get alittle higher STR. I run a 3500 stall with a 2.5 STR and would actually like alittle more STR since I added the drag radials. If you get a 2.5 and upgrade to a 12 bolt/9" later you could probrably still use 3.42s just fine if you run drag radials. I don't think low 11's is to much to ask at all. My car has been running a consistant 11.0 latley with open headers/drag radials/and a well prepped track. In full street trim with no track prep the the car normally runs 11.3-11.5 depending on the launch.

BTW: I run a TNT 150 shot so that's more like a 175+ at the crank.

My race wieght various from 3350-3450 depending on what I take out of the car before I go to the track and how much gas I have in it. I wiegh about 200lbs with my gear so the car is on the lighter side.
