higher compression and spray
I am planning on adding spray in december and have a question about compression and spray. Right now I am at 11.7:1 and we have 93 octane here in Fl. Can I spray 150 dry and not have any worries with not enough octane? I will be getting plenty of fuel. I will have 255l walbro intank, 42 flowed injectors, high flow fuel rails, ls1speed hotwire kit for the fuel pump and the volt booster also from ls1speed. I am mainly worried about the non track times that I may use the spray and not having any 100+ in the tank.
My opinion is an actual 150 rwhp shot on top of what you are making will be about all you can get. It will be close. I think jeremy will be able to tune it safely at 93 octane. It may end up being no problem...or you may end up only being able to spray a 125. But it will be in that area.
Also...if you are close and getting some detonation with the 150 shot on pump gas spraying at 3000 rpm. You could move the activation point up 300-400 rpm to help keep you safe. The detonation usually starts at peak Tq...or when nitrous comes on.
Jeremy will take care of the tune...dont worry man...we will test it all out on the dyno
