Default spark plug selection/ timing retard

I am in the process of installing a nx stage 1 wet kit on my truck and have been doing a little research. From what I know I should use non platinum spark plugs 1 step colder and retard about 2-5 degress of timing. I was gonna purchase the NGK TR55 but they didnt have em so I instead purchased Denso Iridium IT16 but now I just read the IT20 is the one step colder. Will the 16 still work and is the timing retard necessary with the tune I have through VHP hand held Im sure the highperformace level tune I selected really has the timing advanced.

depends on how much n2o you'll be running. a 100 shot will most likely need no retard and can use stock heat range plugs. i use the VHP tuner and run 200 hp of n2o. i use the hiperf/stock cam setting with no knock.
