Default Nx wet kit vs tnt powerr ring kit

Im new to nitrous and cant decide which of these two I would like to get. I have found very good deals on new kits for each, with the tnt costing $40 more than the nx kit. I have already bought the nx kit but with the price i paid i assume I could sale it pretty easily.

The tnt kit has the nitrous filter, blow down tube, and a pressure guague, as well as the dual nozzle power ring. I probably wouldnt want to use the power ring however for stealth reasons.

Another question is if I could switch the nx nozzle out for the power ring if i decide to keep the tnt kit?

Also wondering if 475 Shipped for a NIB nx kit like above would be easily sold in the for sale section?

I searched and found they are both equal in quality now im looking for opinions.

do a search.either in the dyno section or here and see which makes more power.IMHO i have seen higher TNT #'s.some NX #'s are up there.but ive seen better TQ increases in the TNT kit.

Thanks for the input but I did search and Im not wondering which is better quality or which puts out better numbers. Im just wondering which seems to be the better deal for the price. Seems to be tnt imo because of the extra stuff.

I know tnt makes more power because they use larger jets This actually scares me away. I like to know what Im running.

Basically I cant decide and wanted some opinions to help me. I know they both great kits. But i have decisions lol. I also hate to buy the tnt kit since i already bought the nx kit but since the nx kit is not opened i could probably sale it. I like the extra stuff w/ tnt

Ill take that as a vote for tnt. Also if anyone is interested in the nib nx kit let me know. I dont want to list it while im still undecided but would like to know if i could sale it b4 i buy the other kit.
thanks.

yeah the extra stuff IS cool.i would recomend if your gonna sell that kit anyways, go w/ the F2 kit....bigger solenoid's, bigger lines, more jets.i guess it really depends on if your really serious or not.basically if your ever going to want to go BIGGER!LOL!im eventually going to run either a 250 or 300-shot, down the road.when i get all forged ****.

I don't know I like my TNT kit. Bought the F1 kit 75-100-150 shot. Only upgraded the jets to 200 & 250 shot. No other changes. Best time is in my signature .

Buy the TNT set-up, you will not be sorry.

yep, another vote for the tnt kit. im running the F1 kit and would not trade it for any other (except maybe a badass direct port kit )

Looks like tnt is the way to go. Im not really interested in going above 150 shot. And the kit im buy is $475 shipped new. Im thinking that is a good price right?

My TNT F2 is set at a 150 shot. My car N/A got 441rwhp and 403rwtq. Sprayed the 150 and got 650rwhp and 660rwtq. Go with the TNT kit and you will never turn back!!

209rwhp 257rwtq gain from 150 shot!

Good lord that is a lof of hp from a 150 shot. That kinda scared me! I will probably be using the 75 shot I suppose considering it will actually be like 100rwhp lol. I actually want to buy some smaller jets. Sometimes I will be wanting to run 50rwhp and 75rwhp.

I did buy the tnt kit so now I have a new nx kit and the tnt kit I think ill post up the nx kit in the for sale section.

I have to be nice to my engine right now because I dont have any extra money to fix it if something goes wrong.

I wanted the 50 shot for street racing because if I use a 100 shot all the sudden they are going to be like wtf????? Thats why I want a variety of smaller shots for the stealthy part of it for running against people I know. Im not trying to win any money or anything but you know itll be fun

I bought the nx kit from a guy which bought it and wrecked his car and had to sale it cheap. I also bought the tnt kit from kinda the same situation except it was a blown motor before he got to use the kit

Im gonna try to answer the question about HP and how much the kit makes. It really doesnt matter how much the kit makes as long as the solenoids/equipement/etc are able to keep up. If you have an NX kit capable of 100-300 hp and a TNT kit capable of 100-300 hp, its gonna be the same gain. The differences are all in the motor, jetting and tune. Yes, there are differences in the factory specified jetting. Like NOS provides certain jets and indicates which are for which shot. You can go throw those on and they could be meant for a 150 shot but only provide 130hp. You could install NX on the same car and use the designated jets for 150 and make 146hp. That doesnt make the NX kit any better, it just means the base they tuned it on is closer to how your car is running. Another car might have totally different results. Either way, if your lines, valve, and solenoids are able to keep up, any kit will make the same amout of power, its just all in the tuning. There is no way to tell which will do better out of the box, they are all great kits. Get one of them, put it on and jet it based on the factory settings and take it to the track. Watch your A/F and check you heat range on the ground of the spark plug after the run and see where it is. If you dont know what Im talking about, take it to a shop and tell them what gains you want. They will most likely be able to get the numbers you want out of the kit you have (as long as the kit was designed for it).

Also, say your motor can "handle" a 150 shot. Well like stated above by beardWS6, he is making 209hp on a 150 shot. Thats not a 150 shot anymore though, thats a 209hp shot. It puts the stress of a 209hp shot on the motor, not a 150 shot. Give me the NX kit with solenoids capable of 250hp and I can get it tuned to 209hp. It probably wont be using the jets designed for 150hp, but it will make 209hp.

The thing I would decide on is quality of parts. If you have the money, I'd suggest custom building your own setup with good parts. If you HAD to pick one of those 2 kits, I'd go for the NX. Their solenoids are some of the best out there and their valves are great pieces.

if u want timeslips go with tnt.. i cant say enuff about the f1 kit.. mine came with blowdown tube and filter all the stuff i needed to get the job done.. little harder install.... both kits are rated at the rw.. so a 100 shot is 100rwhp.. but ive seen a tnt 100 shot put down 120rwhp on stock motor'd cars plenty of times.. kit is way underrated!
