Why don't many people use Zex?
 

I am looking to get a nitrous setup. I have narrowed it down to Zex, NX, or TNT. I like the idea of everything being all together with the Zex kit, but I have not seen one person recommend them over the other two. Everyone says to go with NX or TNT and I am just wondering why. Does everyone else know something that I don't? Any help would be great. I also noticed that nobody on the N2O list uses Zex as their setup.

ZEX is like.. hmm.. the easiest POOREST way to go.

It is fool proof. Yes. But it delivers different numbers than it claims.. its PURPLE/LAVENDER lol and it is better known for rice-boys wanting to say they have NAAWZ

Your best bet.. save the money and buy NX. NX is probably one of if not THE BEST out there.

:werd: I second everything he said. The biggest reason is simply Zex will not get you anywhere near the performance that the NX or TNT will. Plain and simple, dyno tested, mother approved.

Zex is like $100 cheaper than the other two kits. Are the NX and TNT going to be harder on my engine than the Zex because they make more power?

Zex also leaves you no room to grow.

I got my Nitrous Express Stage 1 EFI kit on ebay, brand new for $440 shipped. Be patient, and you can find pretty good deals.

I like my Zex kit. I don't want to go more than a 100hp shot. Low 11's is enough for me thanks.

lol a 100hp shot with zex is about 70rwhp.. a 100 shot with tnt is about 115 rwhp on a stock engine!! and nx is about dead on with there projections.. as in a 100 makes 100.. nx and tnt are rw rated... zex is a pussy way to go but it keeps the nitrous hidden well if u know how to mount it.. i may get a zex kit for my big daily driver hemi ram lol but i want something underrated and safe for my daily driver truck...

no there not, as ive learned if it makes 75 to the rw on a 100 shot its not a 100 shot its a 75.. if it makes 115 its a 115 shot.. see what im saying.. if u spray a 100 shot of tnt compared to zex yes u will actually be spraying more.. but just run a 75 shot on the tnt and i bet u will run quicker then on the zex hundred shot and it wont hurt ur engine either way if its hooked up right.. buy a window switch and a wot switch.. put 3000 pills in and 5800 pills in and you will be fine.. nitrous is nitrous, nice thing with tnt or nx tho is when u spray a 100 shot u wont actually be spraying much less.. better to say ur spraying 75 to the guy in the 03 cobra or z06 then 100 with the zex and only make 75!

Forget Zex.. unless you have a honda of course

NX has GREAT customer service from my personal experience & highly recommend them. Their solenoids carry a lifetime warranty. I got my kit 2nd hand from a member of this forum & the N2O solenoid was leaking a bit (probably just trash from the N2O [N2O can have lots of trash in it]) and I called them up. They just asked for my info, gave me an RMA # & told me to ship it in. I sent it in on Monday & it was back at my door on/before Friday the same week just in time for the weekend :D

I use a 100 shot & it hits great!! All I need now is a remote opener & a remote bottle pressure gauge & my setup will be complete.

The HP ratings suck- I think it just isnt the best way to go with a LS1 or any real hp motors(200rwhp+) because of that one and for me I want to be able to get to my solenoids for maintenace or whatever easily. Also a shitload of ricers use Zex because they dont spray big shots and its all purple and ricer pretty! LOL! They(ZEX) really havent marketed in the LS1 because they now they cant compete with NX and TNT and NOS for that matter!

I don't know anything about ZEX, but don't compare HP ratings. Because HP is only a jet change away.

I have used NX for over two years. With no issues. I prefer the kit because is has a true bottle opener, a bottle heater that works off of pressure not temp. The nozzle is much easier to install than the TNT ring. Even the MAF upgrade is nice.

Spend the money and do it right the first time. Its not worth trying to save a hundred or so dollars, when you can ruin your engine and cost you thousands.

All I can say is sex reminds me of something you would see on a honduh. I personally like the Nx wet system and the NOS dry system much better. I'm not a very big fan of the tnt power ring, not downing it I just think it could fit better.
