Nitrogen push How much can one get pieced together for? I've been thinking of either doing this or running 2 nitrous bottles together. Trying to see which one would be cheaper.
2 nitrous bottles would mean I need an extra heater, bottle, blowdown tube and a Y fitting. I can get all that for under $300

Even if you have 2 nitrous bottles you'll still have the same problem. You still have to get them heated up to the right pressure, and the pressure will still drop during a run. Nitrogen push, although slightly more expensive than that (depending on if you go the solenoid route or the regulator route) will give you much more consistent pressure and you will not have that big pressure drop during a run.

I've already read that post...
2 full heated nitrous bottles are gonna maintain pressure...there will still be a slight pressure drop, but nothing as dramatic as a single 10lb bottle

Are you sure you would need 2 bottle heaters? If the bottles were connected together, the one bottle heater would just be heating both bottles, since the pressure would stay the same between the two. Just might heat about half as fast, but once it get's there.. I do not know if you would want to, but I'm pretty sure this would work if you want to save about $150 on another bottle heater.

if you have 2 seperate bottles connecting to 1 hose going to the solenoid with a Y adapter, how would you not need 2 heaters? I don't see how 1 heater would work, unless the bottles were side by side and you had a really big heating element that could wrap around both bottles. would make for an ugly install that way.

the nitrogen regulator (there is only one that i've found with the right output pressure from a welding shop) costs $315-$350, add a bottle, hoses, and fittings to that and you're probably $425-500. not sure how much the solenoid method costs...

In the nitrogen push scenario, 2 bottles are connected in series. Bottle "A's" output going into bottle "B's" input, which in turn helps push the contents of bottle "B" out bottle "B's" output. Where bottle "A's" pressure directly effects bottle "B's" pressure, therefore heating bottle "A" will have an impact on bottle "B's" pressure.
So if you have 2 nitrous bottles in a push setup, I can see one heater working. Other than that, I don't see it.
My paintball nitrogen push setup costs under 200 dollars but you better have a way to fill a high pressure N2 paintball tank, because you will go though 3+ paintball tanks (48CI 3000Psi) on one 10 lbs nitrous bottle
Two bottle T'd into the same line and both bottle open will act just like one big bottle. One heater will raise pressure in both bottles...it will just take forever and a day...especially when both bottle are half empty.
So if both bottles are connected...and with heater on...both bottles pressure will rise since there is an open path between them (pressures will equalize). Say the pressure gets up to 1050 and then you spray a 150 shot on a 10 second pass. That might be a pound and a half of juice. If you take a pound and a half of juice from a 20 lb source (two bottle T'd together) the pressure drop will be much less than if you took a pound and a half ftom a 10 lb source. Two bottles does work a bit better. But you will have serious issues trying to maintain pressure when both bottles have like 3 lbs each and you only have one heater trying to get pressure back up. You will only be raising the temp of half the volume of nitrous. The nitrous in the other bottle will remain cold. So in the begining with two full bottles and one heater...it will be a good setup as far as pressure drop...but as you get down on juice....your gonna make it tough to even get that pressure back up at all.
Two big bottles and two strong heaters would be best if you go that route.

Now that I think about it some more, I can see it. Wouldn't do it, but I can see it. 
EDIT: but if you're going to spend the money on the extra 10 lb bottle, lines and fittings, etc.. you might as well go the extra mile and get the heater if you want to do it right.

i though you got a 64Ci 4500psi bottle with an adj reg? worse comes to worse you can take the tank to your local PB store have them remove the reg and make an adapter to go to a bigger tank, I would not however try to thread the reg into the bigger tank due to the fact you may have a hard time trying to fill it at the paint ball store

Yeah, I got the 64@4500, but it's still not quite big enough. I'm gonna have to remove the reg and try to get it on a bigger bottle. If that is possible, I guess I at least saved $115 on the regulator.

well there are other factors such as ambient temp, so thats going to determin how many fills it will take, due to the pressure of the nitrous gas at ambient temp plus the amount of gas it takes to take the bottle to 900, the first few days i went through about 2 bottles, rather quickly for not using the nitrous that much, but its lasted though all my nitrous use so far with out a fill after the first 2 bottles
