what is a window switch? and do u need one with a carb application?

Turns nitrous on and off at predetermined rpm levels. Carb or injection would make no difference.

RPM window switches activate a nitrous system during a preset rpm "window" such as 3000 through 5900 rpm's. This prevents possible engine by waiting until the engine has reached a higher rpm before turning on the nitrous and by turning the nitrous off before the engine reaches its rev-limiter or over revs. It can also save the life of your automatic trany by setting it to turn off a little before the shift point.

They are good cheap insurance for any fuel injected, carbed, automatic, or manual vehicle.
