Default N20 Dyno numbers ........

Wanted to have a good comparison when the car goes back together so we threw it on the dyno today and made a motor pull and a N20 pull.

NA = 400 hp 395 tq (pulled HARD to the rev limiter 7200)

N20 = 537 hp 586 tq (I guessed it was a 140 shot and was almost right on target)

This is with the new th400, 12 bolt w/ 4.10's

Sweet numbers man! My buddy just put out 488rwhp in his 03 EC 4.8(294ci) with a 120 wet(NOS) and 50 dry(NOS) shot and 320rwhp NA. I have the same truck and dynoed 300rwhp NA and 410rwhp with a 100 wet shot(TNT F-1) and we have almost the same mods.

What jets are you using?

I'm guessing this is with the converter locked also?

214hp to the wheels gain from a 150 shot is ALOT.

What does it run?

I haven`t been to the track yet. Just got her completed Monday. TNT under rates there jets alot. Great kit! I`m hoping with mid to low 10`s. I`m really heavy and don`t want to strip anything. I love it being a true street car!

I`m running 150 jets. TNT just gives you more at the RW than any other. They are under-rated. I got 135rwhpout of my 100 jets. Just tune it good and have a good set-up!

100 shot of TNT was 512rwhp/566 rwtq. I'm running a 200 shot now, with a better tune, a "guess" now would be 630+rwhp, close to 700rwtq - stock bottom end.

Times are in my signature from the Thunder Shoot out. Weight was 3553. Next year I'm dropping 200+ lbs, better headers, better trottle body, numerous other light-weight mods. Hoping for 9.6-9.7 on the stock bottom end - possible even a 250 shot.

Hey David, wasnt it your car at Thunder Madman read the scales as "too ****** heavy"

What gear are you running with that 30" tire? If we can get the car leaving likes yours, I think we can get it down to that are. MPH is there (traps 104 1/8, 131 1/4) but its all in getting it to the ground right! Where does the converter flash to and where do you shift?

First pull was lean 12.9:1, richened it up and it picked up a little torque at 12:1. This is all thru T400 31 lb steel driveshaft, 4.10 posi 12 bolt Heaviest fuggin car ever, we need to weigh that thing Wayne I bet its a little heavier then stock

If we werent ripping it apart, I would have thrown a little more fuel at it to 11.5:1 and see if it liked a little more timing as well.

Nice "too funkin heavy"

It is.. or was . This winter's main project is to drop at least 200lbs. I am hoping to get down to 3200lbs - with me at 230lbs.

I am running 4.30's, with a spool. I agree with the need to get the power to the wheels. You can have the biggest badest highest hoursepower car in town, and if you don't have the suspension, BIG "F'ing" deal. Than once you get the suspension, you need someone that knows what their doing to "tune" it. MadMan is that man. Even at 3550lbs, he was able to drop my 60's (same suspension, same tires) from a very respectful 1.41 (best once) to consistent 1.36-1.38 with a best of 1.35.

I launch off a transbrake, with a 2-step tied in that cuts off the nitrous until the T/B is released. The entire shot (now 200) right out of the hole. The converter is a purpose built 4200 stall. The 2-step is set at 4000. Once the T/B is release it flashes "some where" over 5000. I'm usually so busy I'm not sure exactly the flash point. The TH-400 was an outstanding addition last year. I use the Cheetah shifter from Turbo Action. Easy as **** to shift. Pop and go . No more missed shifts.

This winter projects: Jegs race seat (save 40-50lbs), PA front end (75lbs), light weight battery (25lbs), delete power steering (10-15lbs), ABS (10-15lbs), center consol (5-10lbs), anything that doesn't move (???). New Bogart rear wheels, with new Hoosiers. Kook 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 step headers. Jantzer T/B. A custom intake air system. Oh yea, new pin on hood (from the Ultra at 45-50lbs, new pin on is max 15lbs).

Than try 250 shot on a stock bottom end. 9's or bust

David
