wow... nitrous was on the car before my girl and i met and moved into together.. must admit though its becoming a bitch to put a cam in her now tho.. im figuring 14-18-2500 depending on the upgrades for the rest of the car needed with the n2o and if i get heads as well + the tuning.... my girl loves our car though and doesn't like to lose to other cars hehe....... but ive also broke the seal on the rearend.. the flexplate, then the whole trans followed 2 months later, now i need breakpads, fuel pump has gone, tires again, and "your wanting a cam"???? well thats what im hearing now neways lol... but dont lie to them gawd dont lie to them.. they are 10x smarter then us!!!

My creditors are going to be hella pissed off if I die anytime soon
Man, I hear you. It can be a vicious circle. I was 2K in CC debt in the spring now I'm about 7K in debt. I'll pay it off no sweat this winter but you better believe as soon as it's all paid off I'll be using the credit cards to bring in another 7-8K in parts for the Camaro and the Silverado. Anything to go fast I guess.

It just kind of sucks because you look at you CC bill and say to yourself "damn how did I manage to spend that much".

AMEN BROTHER!!

I'm finally down to about 2k on mine, hoping to be paid off by April. But I'll be saving my pennies for a strong tranny and 402 LS2 over the spring/summer/fall.

I blew my motor w/a H/C setup not too long ago (check out my sig.). That was on a perfect tune w/a perfect flat line A/F. Lots of things can happen on the bottle . I had a complete fuel system too and all the safety goods. I think you should be ok on a 100shot though, but it's hard not to get greedy after a while. I definitely would NOT hide it from the lady unless you have a back up plan if/when the motor goes. Just work hard and save every dime possible. Depending on if your doing the install yourself or not, from what I've seen you can get a wet kit w/everything (window switch, bottle heater, act. switches, etc.) for about $1500 give or take. Then I spent $500 on a PERFECT install. You can find used stuff all the time though for half that cost (just be careful, you never know what your gonna get). Good luck either way

Thanks to all, many good thoughts here.

I do PLAN to stay within reason, 100-125 shot. As far as a backup plan, hmmmmm, "the motor blowed up.....freak accident! Sorry hun!"

That was "plan B."

Weak, I know.

Try to find some way to get your credit built up because that's the problem, it's not your age. At 19 I had 3 credit cards and was holding two car loans. Pick up a gas card or two, and a small credit card even if the APR is high. Checkout places like 1st Financial Bank, they offer alot of cards to college students and people of that age, it's pretty easy to get credit from them too. I got my first card through them at 17 or so and it had a $500 limit, I think that one has a $10K+ limit now so they deffinatly trust young people.
