Can you pull timing with a MAF Translator? I've searched and seen yes and no.

 

ramchargers makes another similar box called a timing tuner....you can adjust N/A timing and have a secondary setting that retards timing when the solenoids open and advances it again when they close...i've got one that seems to be defective (don't worry it doesn't malfunction on nitrous or anything and mess the car up, it just won't start sometimes when plugged in)but i have heard very good things about them normally. im gonna send mine back for a replacement because they're IMO a great idea. they also have a window switch and a nitrous delay built in.

 

I know about the timing tuner, but I can get a MAFT for real cheap. I also already have a digital window switch. I am getting a dyno tune this month and I wanted to leave the spark for N/A. Then use the MAFT to drop the timing for a 100-125 shot. So does the MAFT also control timing or just A/F?

 

No the maft translater does not pull timing.The only thing that pulls timing is the timing tuner.We keep them in stock if you need one.

Hey Dave since you are in the biz.... I noticed that when I went to my 224/228 Comp "high lift" N2O cam that my knock retard did not rear it's ugly head when it usually would. Does that make sense? or did something else change too when I upgraded the valvetrain?
