Direct Port 200 shot tuning?
Im gonna try this NXL dp kit and work up to a 200 RWHP shot on the stock stuff (car in sig.) Not gonna spray in 1st gear, and not going to spray through the shifts. I am gonna use a stand alone fuel system with a cell containing some good gas. What A/F should i shoot for? Anyone reccommend a gas that you like and would work well for this kinda setup? Any other hints or good advice? Plugs? Direct Port dyno sheets? Ect. Thanks a million.

I started spraying a TNT 200rwhp shot just before I put the car away for the winter. I ran the A/F ratio at 11.2-11.5 across the board (I like to shoot for low 11s), 22* of timing, 100/106 octane mix, TR-6 plugs gapped at .035. My fuel pump seemed to struggle to keep up so I had acouple of small lean spikes to around 11.8-12.0 but you shouldn't get that with your stand alone set up. Overall the car seemed happy with this set up, it didn't spit out any parts anyway.
NXL with a dedicated fuel system? Sounds nice. I was thinking of that myself, but after getting it figure it would be easier to go with a different setup as the NXL replacing the stock fuel rails leaves nowhere to mount/receive dedicated fule supply. How do plan on running yours?
Also jetting pattern for the NXL at 200 should be able to do a search and find the jet sizes you'll need since it doesnt come with 200 jets. I ran the 180 for some time, hooked up to the stock lines of course, and it actually ran slower ET & MPH than the old wet kit did at 150 which I contribute to the "lean spike" and intiail lag off the line.

yes you cannot pull that much fuel from the rails, don't cae what they say. On a direct port with a bigger shot its silly not to do a standalone. Shoot for a low to mid 11 afr like GM muscle said. Also be careful with a standalone. Its easy to get air traped into the line going to the fuel noid. This can cause a crazy lean backfire. I always purge my fuel noid. I have a fitting to make bleeding realy east by the fuel noid. I have never had so much as hiccup with the n20 on mine.
I will not be using their rails. I have heard they are having problems with the NXL rails. Im just gonna tap the solinoids into the stock rails and then use a stand alone to pull good fuel. We have done this on a buddy of mines ZO6. We are up to a about a 210rwhp shot on his car with no problems, hiccups, nothing. A couple of quick phone pics.
