That's not bad at all. I may run an experiment in a couple of weeks.

Tuning the N2O leaner will indeed get more power, so that is the purpose of running the cold plugs.
That's what I do because I have no intention of doing what's safe for the engine. I just want to avoid major engine damage due to a stupid plug failure. I'd rather see something else break besides something due to a plug failure... that's just me.

I've never cared for running any resistor-type plug while spraying, so a lot of those plugs you are talking about, I'd never even try myself.
Pretty much the same way I look at it. I like to push the envelope myself too. But I also like to keep the car consistent as well. I always double check pressure in the bottle, how many passes ive made, tire pressure after a burnout, etc. I want to go fast, but at the same time I dont want my ET's being more then a .1 difference either.

Non-resistor type plugs and GM pcms don't get along too well in my experience. I still recommend the number 7 NGK for Phillip. I see what you're saying by wanting to avoid engine damage. If that is what's working for you, then go for it. I have had much success running the hottest plug I can and not pre-igniting.

I'm running the #7 Iridium plug from NGK and it works great so far. No problems. I know others running em w/o any problems and we're both running big shots of over 200.
