Default new to nitrous

ok guys im new to this forum and nitrous. i've read the faqs and i just have one additional question on nos. that is im looking into a holley nos dry system and i was wondering is there any other equipment i need to purchase for saftey purposes (such as purge valve and so on). i am planning on only running a 75 shot at the beginning and am looking to run on my stock fuel system and in saying that i also was wondering has anyone run 75 shot on stock fuel system and have u had any problems with platnium plugs or what ever.

thanks alot guys
appreciate your input

You can forego the purge till later or not at all, on dry. I have run 75, 100, 125 and 150 on stock injectors (28's) and fuel pump. But you should work your way up as not all cars can take the bigger shots dry without some tuning. These are just my opinions and I am sure others will have some input.

that nos system comes w/ all the nessesary safety stuff. you might be interrested in a windows switch, bottle heater, and purge valve.but you dont need all of that stuff its just for optimiun performance of your kit except for the window switch itll keep the nitrious from activating at to low of a rpm which could be harmful to your motor.and you should get new plugs[ngk tr6 gapped at .36] the stock fuel system should be alright for 75 shot but a 255 intank fuel pump would be alot safer.

I agree 100% with this. NO NEED FOR PURGE ON DRY, it's a waste of money.

What you SHOULD get for your system is a window switch (i have the MSD digital unit and like it), it should come with the WOT switch, and another almost shoe in is a bottle heater. THis is an absolute must if you plan on running the times consistant with most others. I have the dynotune pressure activated heater, and would rec. this style over the heat oriented activators.

Lastly, throw some NGK TR6's in there. Read a couple threads down on what happened to a member spraying a 150 shot on stock plugs.

the tr6 ngks they are a copper plug right cause i have the ngk v power i believe, are these going to be any good when running just a 75 shot? cause honestly i just don't have the time i need to change the plugs out and i got a race with this 05 vette at the beginning of march. but if they have to be change i guess i'll be in the garage at like 2 am working on it. but does anyone have any tips on changeing the pass side plug next to the heater box?
