quick bottle mounting question
since i decided to custom paint my bottle, i want to move it out of the spare tire well to somewhere a little more visible. I'd like to have it sitting right in the center of the rear deck facing valve forward.
My only concern is i know the fuel tank sits right under that deck somewhere and i'm a little scared to drill holes through it from the top...If anyone has their bottle mounted this way, can i just drill a couple holes and thread in a few short self-tapping screws or do i have to drop the tank and mount it with nuts and bolts from underneath?
input greatly appreciated.

from what i have read it is VERY close there and what most people have been doin is mounting it on a board and liquid nailing the board on the top , so do not drill there
hope this helps

liquid nailing???
I wanted to put mine there too and wondered the same thing. I've seen several of them there, so it has to be doable. I wouldn't trust Liquid Nails myself! I planned to look at the clearance when I cut my "access hatch" for the fuel pump replacement.
i pretty much gave up on this idea, im just going to put the bottle on the driveshaft tunnel between the back seats. i'm gonna make a pair of brackets that bolt flat to the floor under the seat cusions and go up to form flat bridges over the tunnel, then just bolt stock bottle brackets to them.
