Default Do I need an inline fuse??

Hey guys,

In the middle of my install and found a little difference in the wiring schematics of the NX install book and the Dynotune install book.

The NX installation guide has no mention of running any sort of fuse.

The dyno tune sheet calls for an inline fuse on the black wire of the harness (+12v hooked to battery).

So my question is, should I run an inline fuse? If so, what size?

Thanks

Spencer

Yes, I would go with a 25 or 30 amp fuse. What kit/noids are using anyway?

Using a "universal" NX wet kit. PN 20923.

Thanks for the clarification.

I agree with the fuse - you can never be too safe - we include the holder and 25 amp fuse with all our kits.

Good luck with the install!

My dad told me I was an idiot and I was going to catch on fire and die driving down the road because the NX kit didn't come with fuses. So I plan to install a fuse for the solenoids tomorrow when I have more time to finish it up.

fuses are a good idea, i always install one on the power side of the relay, for 2 reasons, 1 is safety, so that is most important.

#2 it gives a way to disable the power to the noids, for testing, and when somebody else may have to drive the vehicle.
