I am trying to figure out the best way to have my timing retarded while on nitrous... My tuner said that he would suggest going with a ramcharger timing retard module.. thats another 300 dollars... dont want to spend that.... the only other way We know of is to retard the whole timing on the truck!!

Which I will lose power with.... whats the route to go??? I really dont want to spend 300 more dollars and I dont want to lose any power.... What is there for me to do???

 

No one else really makes a plug n play unit like the timing tuner. It really is a great product. Sometimes you have to pay to keep the N/A tune where you want it. Just go work a few hours ovetime, get the timing tuner, and you'll be much happier.

 

You could also do the iat sensor trick.Cartek>>>>>>>told me how to do the trick.Its pretty easy and works.Just give them a call or it might be on their website.

i definetly think that pcm'sforless tune has some advanced timing- was gonna say it was not always necessary to retard timing from the stock tune, people run on stock timing all of the time 100shot or less.

how much to retard? trial and error, have to see what the car does not get kr at while on the juice. this is where a scan-tool comes in...

for 300$, you are also getting a window switch (which isn't bad imho.

I think around 22* maybe more... Im not sure I can find out....
