When should I cut off the spray?
I've got an M6 and I'm finally getting my wet kit together and I was wondering what rpm I should cut off the nitrous. I have a small cam and headers with the rev limiter set at 6600. I set my shiftlight to come on at 6300 and I shift as soon as I see it in first but delay it a little as the shifts go up.
I was thinking about 6200 just to make sure it's off by the time I shift. Does that sound okay or should I go with 6300?
I also think I'm going to set it to come on at 5200 so it won't hurt my first gear traction and won't be spraying as soon as I go into gear (trying to go easy on the drivetrain).
What do you guys think?

I'd cut it off at 6200 like you said. As far as spraying at 5200, that's kind of late. I'd at least kick it down to 4000ish. Fix your tractions problems so you can take full advantage.

I thought about getting a time delay switch so I could spray at an earlier rpm and not have it on as soon as I'm in gear.
Number 1: If you are setting your rev limiter at 6600, why shift at 6300 - shift at 6400-6500.
Number 2: What ever you decide on your shift point, set your window switch at 100 rpms below it.
Get the supension and tires to shoot your shot out of the hole or you'll never see the full potential of the run.

2- I am on stock tranny and rear (I do have a HD Eaton posi) and want to take every step possible to make it home from the track without the help from a flatbed.
Thanks for the advice guys. I think I might look into a time delay switch.

1- The light comes on at 6300 but by the time I shift, I'm between 6400-6500. I had it set higher and hit the limiter a few times. Like I said, as the gears go up, I hesitate to shift more after seeing the light.
