Without a tune and some fuel system mods, no. With a good tune and the right fuel set up along with a complete kit with safety measures, yes. However if the car start spitting parts, don't be suprised. If your looking for a real reliable street set up stick with a 150 shot or so. 
well, i do it on my 2000 pontiac formula stock tune and all stock fuel system. been doing it since june 2000. and i'm more than positive i've been through at least 30 bottles. i'm a big junkie. also run 175 on the wife's 99 formula. here's a dyno back when all i had was the slp airlid:
here's when i had the cutout on the car. it was the same day run. but, my ET didn't change closed vs open cutout. so, don't bother getting one for that reason. i moved to the bassani tru-dual and picked up .3 and 3 mph over that. i'll get a graph one day of the basssani and 200 n2o.
I agree with GMMuscle. Don't do it unless you have the proper fuel and tune. Do you realize how much power you are adding???? A good suspension, tires, etc is also needed --- if you are doing it at the track. If you are going it on the street, good luck. I'm one of the old farts that not only doesn't like street rising, but believe you get what you deserve if you get caught at it.
