Dry Nitrous kit
I have an 04 cobra with some minor mods and I have a bunch of nitrous stuff lying around and would like to install a dry nitrous system on my cobra. I have a denscharger CAI and I would like to put the fogger in the fender so no one can see it, this will spray infront of my MAF, so my computer can read the extra air. I am running stock boost and am putting out 412 hp at the wheels. I have a predator programer which I will use to perfect my air/fuel ratio on the dyno of course. All that I am looking to run is a 30-50 hp shot. Do you think that I would have any problems tuning with this size shoot and would the nitrous cause any ploblems to my supercharger internals? I read somewhere that on a turbo or supercharger set up you should direct port injection. I won't do that on my car because I am trying to be sneeky. Really sneeky, my Dad, uncle, and cousin who ride in my car regularly can't know about this.
Are there any foggers or nozzles that you recommend for a dry kit?
Do you have any recommendations on where I mount a 10# bottle. I was thinking about building a look-a-like speaker box in my trunk that would case my bottle. What do you guys think?
I'm not a big nitrous fan and I never have used it before, but I think that it would be kinda fun to fool around with.
Thanks for all the help.

I have a dry shot and have never had any major problems. With that small of a shot it would be hard to hurt something. However I know Ford uses a different MAF type then GM so I dont have any experience with it. But really jetted at a 30 shot you wouldnt hurt anything even if something went wrong.
On your intercooled supercharger set up it would LOVE a nice dry shot of cold nitrous flowing over the heat exchanger, over a Dirct port. Also you cant jet a direct port down that small.
What size jet should I use the ones that I'm looking at range from .012-.040. What size would you say is a 50 shot with a single fogger nozzle.
I was also wondering about the GM MAF, I thought that the Air flow meter on GM was the same type, a hot wire with air flowing over it and the computer measuring the resistance of the wire. That's what the ford maf is...isn't that what the GM MAF is. It isn't an air velocity vane or anything like that is it? They stopped using those in the early 90's right? I really don't think that the n2o would hurt the wire in the maf, I just wanted to double check that my theory is in use in the industry before I try it on my car. So if you guys are spraying infront of your MAF with no external fuel additions then I shouldn't have any problem doing it. Thanks again for all your guys help, all the years I've been on this forum I can deffinately tell that it is one of the best. I know things get pretty nasty in the street racing and kill stories forum, but other than that this one is really informative. Thanks again.
Matt
