No2 Cam Questions Tr224
No2 Cam Questions Tr224 runnig spec in my sig, right now at 150 hp shot, no problems except for the 10 bolt in the rear end(another story) but have headers, pushrods,valve springs and ls6 manfold, in the works, and I am going to throw in the tr224, 112 lsa cam, from thunder, thinking its 562, or 562 dir, it this going to perform well with no2? I don't want to build a car specific for no2 because I want as much engine as possible with out it, basically no2 is last resort. But I went through as much no2 as I could afford last summer( it is like my crack) so thats like 5 bottles, one half chalk up to testing jets, and trying out my purge value and stuff. Plus figure in that the bottle was new and probaly didn't get 10 full pounds in it so a I am trying to say about 40 lbs will go through the car in a season. What are some opinions on this set up? Again I don't want a full no2 car, so please don't post get 5.3 heads and a no2 specific cam, I already know that that would be the best route, but it isnt in the scope right now. Thanks

I used to have that cam, it's alright with nitrous although it's considered small by todays standards, you could go bigger. If you want to take full advantage of the N20 go with a 114 LSA instaed of the 112.
the actual spec on it are
duration @.050 intake 223.7 exhaust 224.0
value lift intake 0.562 exhaust 0.562
lsa 113.7
So I should be close to the 114 lsa, the list it on the site as 112, but this is the exact specs on it. Still a good choice> I want some power and driveabilty, with out total gas loss. what do you think?

I have the tr224 on a 112, the car is a daily driver i love it it doesnt sound like it runs as hard as it does but I spray it every weekend last night it went 6.88 @ 103 with a 1.51 60ft in the 1/8 on a TNT 100 shot, Most of the guys at are track tend to gain .8-1.0 on a 150 shot my cars runs cons. 7.50 on motor 100 shot 6.90's so .6 on a 100shot i think the cam works very good for its size
Pretty good times, hopefully the cam and headers will get me over the 11.99 that I went with m/t streets gripping the lane, that was on a 150 shot, do you think that it is worth my while to back the juice down to 100hp, same numbers possible? 
I guess what I am saying is that I am not running forged stuff yet, and I really use the nx as a last resort, and for fun now and then, so do you believe the cam is making the engine work harder, as far as burning and exhausting? Is there a greater chance of detination or even blowing stuff up at the 150 shot on the new cam. Any input greatly appreaciated.
