Default 100,000MIles; Should I spray?

Okay everyone, here is the deal. Got a 2000 SS Camaro that is going to cross the 100,000 mile mark this week. I am thinking about spraying it, but I am wondering if anyone else out there has success stories from spraying on a 100,000 mile + LS1 (Stock) . I have a stock bottom end with a program and high flowing exhaust. I know that NOS is the best bang for the buck when your short on cash and want to dish out a quick a**whipping to a supercharged Cobra (like the one in my neighborhood). I have sprayed before, but not on a(n) LS1 without a forged bottom end. Should I spray or stay away? Thinking about a 150 shot, maybe a 200. No signs of oil leaking and the car has been cared for really well. ~ B.R.A>2

hahaha my car is a carb 305 going on the 200,000 mark i run a 125 shot and use it every day. You will however need to lose the hypertec program as it advances you timing, which can lead to detation. You should be fine with a 150 shot, the biggest thing is you will need a FP if you go over that. And deciding weither your gonna spray wet or dry

I wouldnt put a 200 on it and plan for it to stay together for a long time.. I've got a 125 on mine and thats the most its gonna see with 110k on the clock.

there are no guarantees with N20 wether its new or 100k + but done properly to an engine in good mechanical condition you should have no issues with a 100 to 150 shot.. more than that and it doesn't matter so much as the age of the engine but the stock bottom ends condition to begin with and all the other factors involved, good gas, correct plugs and gap, proper timing etc.

well first off dont use the word NOS, gees how many times can that be said. 2nd off I wouldnt go any bigger than a 150 and thats with getting a fuel pump for that. Get a set of TR6's and all the safety stuff for the nitrous and you'll be ok with 100-150 shot. I wouldn't do a 200 unless you plan on rebuilding it soon.

I've got 75,000 miles and been spraying 150-175 for a while now (about a year), stock bottom end, stock fuel system. Zero problems. I do have all the safety stuff and the ability to tune my truck. It would also help if you got a progressive controller. The thing that hurts motors the most with nitrous is the initial hit, with a progressive controller you can minimize the initial hit and it will last longer.

Now see, thats the type of adive that will do a person justice! Thanks for sharing that with me. I would of never known that unless someone told me about the safety features. Will definately invest in a progressive controller. ~ BowmansRedAlert
