got a question for downshifts on my auto with 100 shot. How harsh would it be on my tranny to floor it at 35 when it shifts down 2 first with a wot switch on a 100 shot, and would it be better to flip the switch after the downshift, or will my tranny be able to take the abuse?

good question because im going to be running the same thing. do you have the 4l60e? i am on my 2 nd one in the 3 months and have no trust in this trans, so im doing a th400 swap and then i wont be scared to do it. i would only do it in my car now to help this trans die faster. im not a mechanic but with my own experiences I would be leary without building it

 

i watched a guy backfire his TNT system last night doing what you are talking about doing.

get a window switch first off.

he floored it in D and the kit activated before the kickdown occured. 150 shot @ 2k rpms isnt cool. he burned apart the filter, melted the bellow and fried part of his maf.
