Shawn my money is on the flame going out theory as well. Never seen nitrous puddle half track, normally at the launch or at the top maybe, if the foot comes off WOT and back into it, not to say it cant happen. Love guys that dog wet kits, love it even more racing them

nitrous doesn't puddle, fuel allegedly does. before I got a purge, I used to purge my lines through the motor after using my nitrous, hell I even shot straight fuel just see what would happen. never had a puddling problem, and I'm talking for 10+ seconds of shooting straight fuel. I think he went lean myself...

EDIT: on a side note, if he was doing I'd say anything above 2000-2500 RPM's, I don't think he could've had a puddling problem anyway, there is entirely too much airflow going through the intake to allow puddling at that point.

i run 175 on the wife's and 200 on mine. all stock programming and fuel systems. no saftey crap other than WOT switch. that way it shuts off when i let off the throttle. and i do run 2 steps colder plugs.

it's nice to have all that stuff, though, for the super safety conscience.

HMMM, well I'm not a big fan of FPSS's. Haven't found a real good one yet. Winodow switches are worth their weight in gold. As far as them being off, maybee the old MSD ones. New digitals should be dead on. I know ours is accurate within 1/2 an RPM in 4 cyl mode at 4K RPM's. 8 cyl mode is within 1 RPM. Our's operates with a 4MHz clock speed. A bit overkill, but dang accurate.

Factory tach gauges are by far the worst since there conception. They are always a few hundred to even 500 or 600 off, and they lag behind real bad. Never go off of them for testing or guaging anything unless you just use it to lauch consistantly. Heck, they could be 1500 off, but if you know you stick and git when the needle sais 2K every time then do it. Just doesn't mean your realy 2k.

FPSS's.....not worth it? They seem to be problematic. I was going to order a NX GEN II upgrade which means I am paying more for the FPSS, purge, blow down tube, etc.

Now I may just buy safety stuff item by item...

See where the window switch comes in handy? heh heh! at least if he did mess up and redlined it to bad he might just bend a rod! Not window switch = no intake

If the intake was the only casualty I'd consider him lucky, rather replace the intake then a Rod, cause its never just a rod! But agree WS are good for ppl.

Yeah, if I had a BOOM and only the intake got I'd consider it a mighty fine day in the neighborhood...

**** happens!!
atleast with the safety crap you have a lesser chance of it happening. once again, its not the kits' fault, its the end user. no problems with my wet kit..going on 6 months now with atleast 3-5 runs a week.
