Default Nitrous help!!!

I am currently running a wet NX 150shot on my t/a. I run 92 octane always but i am being repeatedly told that my motor is detonating. Just wondering if i could get some feedback on what some other people are running for fuel under these conditions.

Pull your plugs after a good nitrous run and inspect. Edges of the ground strap may become rounded. The porcelain will have the apperance of being sprinkled with pepper (aluminum speckles). During heavy detonation, the ground strap may burn off. This phenomena can result from excessive ignition timing, too hot heat range spark plug, or inadequate fuel octane.

Octane booster may help.

I would agree with what Gollum said about checking the plugs, or if you have access to a tuning program you could data log a run and see if the knock sensor is pulling any timing. However, if it is pulling timing that doesn't necessarily mean that it is caused by detonation. I would check the plugs to be sure.

Did you get tuned for the gas (nitrous)..? I don't care what anyone says, after dealing with nitrous for more then 13 years and more then 12 cars of my own, not including the dozens of customer's rides, getting tuned is a must. It, costs, only a couple of hundred bucks, and that gives you not only a nice safe tune for your ride, and some dyno numbers, but some good piece of mind..... With a 150 shot you definitly need a tune. Wet or dry you should get richened up just a little, that will take care of your detonating issue. Unless you have another issue, inin which getting tuned will answer that question as well....... Good luck..
