Default Installing BMN window switch

So I'm insalling the BMN switch and it says to hook into the brake light switched power. Is there some reason why you hook into this (convenience?) or can you hook into any 12v switched power (TCS switch, etc)? Thanks!

It just makes sense to use the brake pedel switch for resetting first gear lockout. Because after a run "you will" apply the brakes to stop. But I guess you could use some other type of switch. I haven't gave it much thought.

The brake pedel switch located under your dash has two wires leading to it ORANGE and LIGHT BLUE. Connect to the LIGHT BLUE switched side wire.

That's what I was wondering. So the first gear lockout is reset by the activation of the brake pedal?
